The only problem I have noticed is that her hyponychium has become overgrown up the length of her nail (on about 4 or 5 nails) and are alot more visable than normal. I have suggested that she makes sure she uses her cuticle oil on the underside of her free edge more to see if this helps. Not all nails that have extended nail beds (NOT extended hyponychium) grow like this; some grow straight and beautifully. It is the living nail bed that is elongated and drawn out under the nail in a characteristically oval shape; this usually has a normal hyponychium with sole horn. My hyponychium also grows forward under my nails and has been the bane of my life with nail techs over the years cutting it when they trim my nails for tips and forms for sculpting digging in and often cutting it.
